Wali Mahmud. Full name is Mohammad Waliur Rahman Mahmud. Born in 1st August, 1972. He was involved in the movement against the military dictator Ershad. That’s why the police administration and intelligence agencies raided his house in 1990 and looted the manuscripts of his two books and many anti-authoritarian, anti-communal and anti-racist poems.
He was involved in various ways including building public opinion in Bangladesh and England to demand justice for those who were war criminals against humanity in the war of independence of Bangladesh. Since he was involved in different ways, he had to face various disasters including death threats. Due to this, his family was subjected to various threats in Bangladesh. He collected information on genocide and information on those involved in crimes against humanity and war crimes in the Bangladesh War of Independence. Relevant data as a collector is used in the Ranangan ’71 book.
His published books of poetry, research and edited Little Magazine are: Bhalobashar Poati, Joiboti Shon, Ekti Dirgoshasher Mritto, Death of a Sigh, I am The Descendant, Ami Ek Uttorpurush, Nirbashone, Nirbachito Druho, 1237 Daag.
